There are a few problems with plugins like Effortless Good and I ♥ Miro:

They only support a limited number of sites, namely the various Amazons. Green Any Site, well... it greens any site.

They hijack the affiliate code or inject a user cookie without the user actually taking a direct action. This is directly in violation of any affiliate agreement I've ever read. And indeed I heard that I ♥ Miro's account was closed by Amazon, and while I am not familiar with Efortless Good, their site is also down which isn't a good sign. GAS is manually invoked by the user, and then the user clicks an affiliate link so it doesn't violate affiliate terms.

That said, I agree that having users remember to click the bookmarklet is a problem... But I do have some ideas on how to change that soon.

This is a great idea, but it could be implemented better. To ask users to remember to click a bookmarklet before every time they buy anything is not a good idea. It's a hazel, and most ppl will forget it at least once!

Instead you should do like Effortless Good and create a Firefox plugin which does all the work for you, so that the process is automatic, and therefor as easy as it can be, and impossible to forget. :)
